NPR Training Reporters to Deal With Hostile Trump Rallies

Donald Trump's rallies have become so hostile to media and protesters that NPR has reportedly begun sending its political reporters to "hostile-environment awareness training" to better prepare for the rowdy events. Violence has flared at Trump's campaign rallies more than any other: his supporters have punched protesters in the face on multiple occasions; his campaign manager allegedly bruised an ex-Breitbart reporter as she attempted to ask a question; and his secret service agent choke-slammed a Time photographer who briefly exited the designated media pen. NPR's training session is apparently a significantly pared-down version of the same seminar they offer to reporters who embed in riot scenes or from war zones.
