Just a day after saying the U.S. should accept more Syrian refugees, Donald Trump backtracked on that statement at a Wednesday rally on Capitol Hill. “We have our own problems—we have very big problems between our own borders and our infrastructure and everything else,” Trump said at an event denouncing the nuclear deal with Iran. “We have some very big problems. We have to solve our problems and we’d better do it fast. We owe $19 trillion.” He said that the U.S. should have a limited role in assisting the refugees while urging other countries to be more invovled.
