At least the plumbing system didn’t fail. Another cruise-ship disaster has been reported on a Royal Caribbean International cruise after the norovirus sickened more than 108 people on board. The wretched stomach virus, which is highly contagious and manifests itself in the form of excessive vomiting and diarrhea, has been making headlines for its prevalence this winter (even the queen suffered a bout). The captain reportedly announced the outbreak shortly after the ship left port, at which point dozens of passengers were quarantined. But that didn’t stop the virus from spreading and infecting a handful of crew members. The others spent a majority of their 11 days at sea sanitizing every inch of the ship—alas, to no avail.
