No Murder Charge in Fetus Stabbing Case

Prosecutors will not file murder charges against a 34-year-old Colorado woman accused of stabbing a seven-months pregnant woman and cutting out her fetus, the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday. Police said Dynel Lane attacked the pregnant woman who came to her house to answer a Craigslist ad for baby clothes. Lane allegedly stabbed the victim and removed the fetus, which did not survive. She was apprehended at a hospital while the victim called 911 from Lane’s basement. District Attorney Stan Garnett is expected to provide more information on the charges at a Friday news conference.
