Newtown to Build Sandy Hook Memorial

Newtown, Connecticut has decided to build a memorial to commemorate the 26 victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The families of the victims were the first notified of the decision. "I think we have to really run it by the people who were most impacted and see what they feel comfortable with," said Newtown resident Bob Schmidt. The Newtown Legislative Council is also scheduled to vote on whether to raze the home of Adam Lanza. There are apparently no plans to include Nancy Lanza, who was killed by her son first, at the memorial.
