News of the World's Last Edition Revenues to Go to Charity

There will be two official inquiries into the News of the World’s phone-hacking scandal, while the paper said late Thursday that the revenues from its final edition will go to charity. One will be an inquiry into the conduct of the original police investigation, and one inquiry into the future of the media and its regulation; it will examine how the standards in the media industry could have led the newspaper to break the law so frequently. Prime Minister David Cameron said in a statement, “What matters is that all wrongdoing is exposed, and those responsible for these appalling acts brought to justice.”
