Phone Hacking

News of the World Targeted 7/7 Families

How low did News of the World sink in order to get stories? Police in Britain are now informing families of victims from the July 7, 2005 terrorist attacks in London that the paper may have hacked their phones. Graham Foulkes, whose son died in the attack, says Scotland Yard contacted him to let him know that his name, phone numbers, and address were included in the files of Glenn Mulcaire, the private investigator employed by the paper to carry out phone hackings. Police also plan to review other high-profile recent crimes, including the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
