    New Zealander Sets Free-Diving Record

A New Zealander named William Trubride has set a new free-diving record, diving 380 feet into the Atlantic Ocean without the use of fins. He held his breath for four minutes, nine seconds as he plunged into Dean’s Blue Hole, the world’s deepest underwater sinkhole, in the Bahamas. He propelled himself downward using a form of breaststroke; it was Trubridge’s 10th world record.
