Nevada Judge Delays Lethal Injection After Drugmaker Sues
A Nevada judge is stopping the use of a drug in a lethal injection after a drugmaker sued. Alvogen said it does not want its drug, midazolam, involved in a “botched” execution. This will delay the death of Scott Raymond Dozier, who was scheduled to be killed on Wednesday night with a lethal injection mix. Dozier was convicted of murder twice and has said he wants to die even if it will be painful. His execution would be the state’s first since 2006.
