Nevada GOP Cuts Gay Marriage Stand

On Saturday, the Nevada Republican Party officially dropped anti-gay marriage and anti-abortion stances from its platform. The previous version officially described the state party as pro-life and defined marriage as “between a man and a woman.” More than 500 delegates attended the conference but less than half were present when the platform was adopted by a show of hands. “I think it was about inclusion, not exclusion,” state party Chairman Michael McDonald said, referring to the platform. “This is where the party is going.”
