Nets End Record Losing Streak

It took 38 days, 18 defeats, and one fired coach, but the New Jersey Nets finally have won a game, ending an NBA record for the worst beginning to a season of any team in league history. New coach Kiki Vandewegh earned his first win as his players took down the Charlotte Bobcats 97-91. The game was close, but featured stellar performances from several Nets, including Courtney Lee, who finished with 27 points, and young center Brook Lopez, who scored 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.
