Netflix to Pay Comcast for Network

After nearly a year of stalemate, Netflix has agreed to pay Comcast an unspecified amount to ensure that online subscribers have access to its television shows and movies. It will grant Netflix direct access to Comcast's high-speed network, instead of access through a third-party bandwidth provider. The deal could set a precedent for Netflix's dealings with other Internet providers, including Verizon and AT&T, and will raise major questions about whether corporations should be allowed to grant special treatment for business partners' data.
