Neil Young has filed for divorce from his wife of 36 years, Pegi. They were longtime musical collaborator and often performed togethers. Pegi served as the inspiration for a number of Neil's songs, including “Such a Woman,” “Unknown Legend,” and “Once an Angel.” Together, they founded the Bridge School in 1986 to provide better educational opportunities for people with severe physical impairments, which was inspired by their son who has cerebral palsy. Young filed a petition for the dissolution of their marriage on July 29 and a hearing is set for December 12. Young's rep had no comment.
