NBC Plans ‘Rosemary's Baby’ Series

In case you weren't already thoroughly disturbed by the book and movie, NBC announced on Tuesday that it would adapt Rosemary's Baby into a four-hour miniseries. Filming will begin next month in Paris, and a cast has not yet been set. The 1967 book by Ira Levin about a young pregnant woman paranoid about her husband's intentions for their baby was made into a movie one year later, directed by Roman Polanski. "As we move into the event movie and miniseries space, Rosemary’s Baby represents the kind of attention-getting, surprising project that will make noise for us," NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke says of the effort.
