MySpace Leaks Data to Advertisers

Yet another social network has been caught in a decidedly unfriendly situation. According to The Wall Street Journal, MySpace has been leaking private information about its users to advertisers; users who clicked on ads or used specific apps were inadvertently feeding companies including Google and Rubicon Project access to their username, real name, location, and photos. A MySpace spokesperson said that the company prohibits third-party application-makers from sharing those details, and will take the necessary actions to protect user-information.
