More Advertisers Ditch Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh’s apology may have been too little too late—a seventh advertiser is pulling its ads from Limbaugh’s talk show. ProFlowers, an online florist company, announced on its Facebook page Sunday that it would be pulling its ads from the show because Limbaugh’s statements about Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke “went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect the values of our company.” Limbaugh referred to Fluke as a “slut” and a “prostitute” last week after she testified before Congress about contraception, though the host issued a statement of apology on Saturday. Limbaugh’s show has also lost funds from mattress companies Sleep Train and Sleep Number, and a Twitter-organized boycott is underway at @StopRush.
