Mom Who Fell Down NYC Subway Stairs Likely Died From Medical Issue: Sources

Police believe that a 22-year-old mother who was found dead at the bottom of a Manhattan subway staircase did not die from the fall, but from a medical episode, a senior law-enforcement official confirmed to The Daily Beast on Tuesday. Malaysia Goodson had a thyroid issue and complained of headaches the day before she and her baby were discovered at the 7th Avenue subway station at about 8 p.m. ET Monday night. Goodson had no marks on her body, leading officials to believe she suffered a medical emergency, sources told the New York Post. The young mother, who was unconscious, was rushed to the hospital and was later pronounced dead. Her daughter, Rhylee, was unharmed, and is now staying with her father.
