MLB Adds Rules to Speed Up Games

In an effort to make nine innings go faster, Major League Baseball announced pace-of-play rule changes for the 2015 season on Friday. Managers must now stay in the dugout during replay challenges; hitters must keep at least one foot in the batter’s box while at-bat; players must return to play quicker after TV commercial breaks. “These changes represent a step forward in our efforts to streamline the pace of play,” Commissioner Rob Manfred said.
