Mississippi Jury Summons Leads to Sex Hotline

At least 350 Mississippi residents mistakenly received jury summons directing them to call a sex hotline, which was discovered as complaints streamed into a county clerk’s office Monday morning. The documents’ instructions, which had the incorrect phone numbers, were sent out to potential jurors in Jackson County. Circuit Clerk Randy Carney told reporters that he didn’t know the root of the mistaken digits but that an apology letter was sent out to recipients of the error.
