Microsoft, Facebook Team Up

Two of Google’s top rivals are teaming up: Microsoft announced on Wednesday that Facebook will provide data to its search engine, Bing, allowing for more customized search results. For example, Facebook will allow Bing to access a searcher’s “likes” so that the search engine can tailor results to his or her preferences. Facebook has said it hopes other search engines will use its data, but Google currently does not have access to it.
