Michele Bachmann provided The Daily Show with plenty of fodder in Tuesday's debate, but why pile on? Instead, demonstrate your fairmindedness by complimenting her shining moment: "In one powerful instant, she spoke with real passion and empathy to the eocnomic anxieties of passion and empathy of ordinary Americans, and mothers in particular," Michelle Goldberg writes in The Daily Beast. Goldberg means the moment when Bachmann promised struggling moms, "I will not fail you on this issue…. Hold on, moms out there. It is not too late." Goldberg opines: "Bachmann addressed the deepest concerns of many voters with clarity and conviction. It won’t matter that she seems crazy to people outside the conservative fold if she can connect with those inside."
