Mexican Town Selects 20-Year-Old Police Chief

May God be with her: The Mexican border town of Guadalupe has named a 20-year-old female criminology student as its police chief after no one else wanted the job. Marisol Valles was “the only person to accept the position,” according to the mayor’s office. Last week, there were at least eight murders in Guadalupe. She’s studying criminology in Mexico’s most violent city, Ciudad Juarez.
