One of Mexico’s most-wanted men and fugitive drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s wife recently gave birth in California, the Los Angeles Times reports. A senior U.S. law enforcement official claims Emma Coronel, 22, had twins on Aug. 15 at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster. Guzman, 54, is the multibillionaire head of the Sinaloa drug cartel and married Coronel on her 18th birthday. U.S. feds allegedly kept an eye on Emma before she crossed the Mexican border and through her stay at Antelope Valley Hospital until she returned to Mexico. Guzman is wanted for $5 million by U.S. authorities, who claim he and the Sinaloa cartel manage the majority of cocaine and marijuana traffic brought to the U.S. from Mexico and Colombia.
