'Memory Chair' Unveiled in Milan Furniture Fair

In an unofficial celebration of Earth Day this past week, designers brought some green ideas to the world’s biggest contemporary furniture fair in Milan, including the Memory chair. Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshkioka used crumbled recycled aluminum to create the moldable chair for Moroso, a high-end Italian furniture manufacturer. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010, which is held in Italy’s design capital from April 14 to 19, brought 300,000 visitors, who were either admiring or showing off their products and ideas, both earth-friendly and not.
