SMART MOVE

Match.com to Screen for Sex Offenders

This seems like something they should have already been doing. Match.com has announced plans to start screening its users to see if they have a history of being sex offenders. A customer recently brought a lawsuit against the site, claiming she was sexually assaulted while on a date with a man she met on the dating site who would have come up in such a search. The site says it had been planning this move prior to the lawsuit, but that the case hastened their decision. The screenings are set to take effect in two to three months.
