Massive Storm Batters Perth, Australia

A Perth-fect storm? The city of Perth, Australia, has suffered more than $100 million in damages after a freak rainstorm dumped one month’s average rainfall on the city in just seven minutes. The rain, golf-ball-sized hail, and 75 mph winds caused flooding and landslides, collapsing part of the terminal roof at Perth's airport. Perth, however, will take whatever rainfall it can get: It just concluded one of the driest summers on record.
