Police in Beaumont, Texas, arrested a suspect Monday in connection with what appeared to be a racially charged shooting at a Jefferson County sheriff candidate’s campaign headquarters. Zena Stephens said she was standing outside her campaign headquarters with a group of people when a white male pulled up in a car and shouted “f-ck the n---ers,” 12 News reports. The man then shot into the building’s front window. There were no reported injuries, but Stephens said around 20 people were inside at the time. Police are reportedly questioning four others in connection with the incident.
