Man Travels 3.7 Miles by Party Balloons

Talk about uplifting. On Saturday, the same day anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela was released from the hospital, another South African man traveled from the jail where Mandela was held for part of his 27-year prison sentence to Cape Town. What's the big deal? He did it by flying, suspended in a chair hanging from a cluster of 160 helium-filled giant party balloons and landing in a rubber duck a few hundred yards from shore. Although the 3.7-mile journey took about an hour to complete, it was worth it: the stunt was devised to raise money for a Cape Town children's hospital.
