Man Attempts to Hijack Paris-Rome Plane

A passenger armed with a small knife attempted to hijack a 131-passenger plane from Paris to Rome and divert it to Libya on Sunday night. The would-be hijacker is believed to be from Kazakhstan; he was restrained by flight attendants and then sedated by a passenger who was a doctor on the flight. The plane landed on time in Rome, where police are questioning the man.
