As any self-respecting Russian assassin will tell you, Salisbury Cathedral in England is home to many historic treasures. The cathedral, which the alleged hitmen sent to kill former spy Sergei Skripal insisted they were visiting when asked why they were in the small city of Salisbury, is home to a copy of the Magna Carta—the 12th century legal document which underpins much of England's legal system. A thief has been arrested trying to steal the document, one of only four in existence. Alarms went off after the suspect smashed holes into the glass box which protects the priceless document on late Thursday afternoon. The document wasn’t damaged. After the past few months, Salisbury Cathedral must be seeking some form of divine intervention to keep it out of the headlines.
