Maine Gov.: Obama Hates White People

Maine Gov. Paul LePage allegedly said President Obama “hates white people,” confirmed two state lawmakers who said they heard the remarks directly. Speaking at a local fundraiser, LePage allegedly said Obama would have been the best president ever if he highlighted his biracial heritage—but the president hasn’t done that, because he hates white people. “Yeah, he said it,” said one of the lawmakers, who asked not to be named. “It was one little thing from a speech, but I think most people thought it was totally inappropriate.” LePage, a Tea Party Republican, has previously compared the IRS to the Gestapo and used a crude comment about Vaseline to insult state Sen. Troy Jackson. When running for office, LePage said, “You’re going to be seeing a lot of me on the front page saying ‘Gov. LePage tells Obama to go to hell.’”
