"Mark Madoff took his own life today," his attorney said in a statement. "Mark was an innocent victim of his father's monstrous crime who succumbed to two years of unrelenting pressure from false accusations and innuendo." Mark used a dog leash to kill himself, his father-in-law found him, and his two-year-old was in the apartment, according to The Daily News, both Mark and his brother Andrew have been the focus of investigators regarding their possible roles in their father’s Ponzi scheme. Bernie Madoff is currently serving a 150-year prison term after confessing to jilting investors of billions.
