English football fans reportedly wreaked havoc across London Saturday after the country defeated Sweden 2-0 to make it through to its first World Cup semi-final in nearly three decades. Police reported a spate of calls as fans stormed the city and damaged an ambulance, bus stop, and taxi, among other things, during their raucous celebrations. “We’re delighted with the result, but this has put a big dampener on the celebrations for us,” the London Ambulance Service tweeted after one of its vehicles was trashed while paramedics were responding to a call. Elsewhere, a group of fans reportedly invaded an IKEA store and jumped on furniture before being removed by police. Smoke bombs were also reportedly set off inside pubs and traffic was disrupted in some areas. England will now face off against Croatia on Wednesday at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Russia, meanwhile, is now out of the World Cup after an improbable run on its home turf ended following a nail-biting loss to Croatia.
