Gossip columnist Liz Smith died in New York on Sunday at the age of 94. Smith, known as the “Dame of Dish,” wrote a nationally syndicated New York gossip column for more than 25 years. She began the column at the New York Daily News in 1976 and changed the way journalists cover celebrity news. She was especially known for her reporting on Donald and Ivana Trump’s divorce, which made front-page news. Literary agent Joni Evans said Smith died of natural causes.
