Laquan McDonald Cop Pleads Not Guilty

A Chicago police officer charged with six counts of murder after he allegedly shot a black teenager last year pleaded not guilty at a Tuesday hearing. Jason Van Dyke faces one count of official misconduct in addition to murder charges for killing Laquan McDonald, 17, in October 2014. A video of the shooting—in which Van Dyke shot McDonald 16 times—was released last month.
