LAPD Bought Pony From Chief's Daughter

Despite previously denying any part in the $6,000 deal in which the department bought his daughter's horse, on Wednesday LAPD Chief Charlie Beck admitted he was in fact involved. The department had purchased the 10-year-old quarter horse, George, earlier this year from his daughter, Officer Brandi Pearson. Beck now admits that after reviewing documents, he "realized" he had approved the deal.
