Ky. Confederate Monument to Be Removed

A stone monument honoring Kentuckians who died fighting for the Confederacy during the Civil War, that is currently near the University of Louisville, is set to be removed from its spot for the first time in 120 years. This comes as many public institutions have reassessed the presence of Confederate statues after the vicious killing of nine black churchgoers in South Carolina. It is unclear where the statue is moving instead.
