Künstlerplakate Nostalgia

Fascinating relics from East Germany’s communist days are on display in New York. At the time when the state was in charge of all cultural projects, artists and gallerists promoted shows with limited-edition posters, produced in small numbers so as to scrape under the limit that would attract censorship. The graphics often subverted the rules in color schemes and typography, as The Wall Street Journal reports, and now are on display at New York University.
