Jon Krakauer is set to delve into the mysterious death of another man pushing himself to his limits with the release in September of his book about Pat Tillman. The book, titled "Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman," will attempt to unravel the story behind the former NFL player's death in Afghanistan while serving as an Army Ranger. The Army initially said that Tillman was killed in action, but five weeks later admitted that he was the victim of friendly fire. The failure to fully disclose the circumstances surrounding Tillman's death aroused suspicion of a cover up by higher ups in the military. Krakauer had access to Tillman's notes, conducted extensive interviews with the linebacker's family, and traveled to Afghanistan. The book was originally scheduled for release in October of 2007, but the author insisted he have time for further revisions.
