Kim Davis Won’t Block or OK Licenses

The county clerk in Kentucky who was jailed after disobeying court orders to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples is back at work and says she won’t block licenses from going out. Kim Davis read a statement upon returning to work that said she was torn between her faith and responsibilities, and that she still won’t authorize the licenses. Brian Mason, a deputy clerk, is now issuing marriage licenses. Davis’s deputies reportedly issued seven marriage licenses to same-sex couples in her absence without her name on them.
