Juror’s Tweets Lead to New Trial

The Arkansas Supreme Court ordered Thursday a new trial for a death-row inmate whose trial was spoiled by a tweeting juror. Erickson Dimas-Martinez’s murder conviction was thrown out because one juror defied a judge’s ban on Internet postings. The juror tweeted things like, "all evidence was submitted in the sentencing phase,” and "Choices to be made. Hearts to be broken. We each define the great line." Another juror during Dimas Martinez’s trial apparently slept.
