Judge: Newtown Documents to Stay Secret

A Connecticut Superior Court judge determined that documents taken from Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter Adam Lanza’s home will remain secret and not be subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Judge Carl J. Schuman determined that state statutes pertaining to the return of seized property overrode the state’s FOIA laws. There were dozens of reported documents, including Lanza’s spreadsheet listing mass murderers and the weapons they used.
