Johnny Manziel Gets Deal in Domestic Assault Case

Johnny Manziel has reportedly reached a tentative deal with prosecutors in his domestic-violence case. The former NFL rising star had an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend, after which he was charged with misdemeanor assault. He faced up to a year in prison and a $4,000 fine after allegedly hitting and dragging Colleen Crowley into a car against her will. The Heisman Trophy winner and notorious alcoholic had a Thursday hearing during which his attorney was "encouraged." Attorney Jim Darnell told the AP “there was still work to be done to finalize the deal.”
