Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is slated to announce his presidential plans on June 24, a top adviser told Politico. The two-term Republican governor is expected to announce his likely bid in New Orleans, said Timmy Teepell, Jindal’s former chief of staff and potential campaign manager. Jindal has already made frequent visits to key primary states and launched a presidential exploratory committee, but faces a crowded pool of candidates. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina became the ninth contender for the GOP nomination on Monday.
