Jazz Great's Wife Shot in Feud

Few gunslingers carrying their weapons in a fannypack, but that's where 81-year-old Maria Cartagena found her revolver Wednesday before firing a shot at the wife of Jazz legend Eddie Palmieri. "Mover over or I'm gonna kill ya!" the woman yelled in the halls of a New York apartment building before firing, grazing Iraida Palmieri, 73, in the head. A source told the New York Daily News that Cartagena thought Palmieri was making moves on her 60-year-old husband. Eddie Palmieri has won nine Grammy Awards during his career. "Right now, I am focused on one thing, the well-being and safety of my family. That is all there is to say at the moment," he said.
