Jay-Z Addresses XXXTentacion Murder, Disses President Trump

While Kanye West may not be on the best of terms with Drake, given the shots the Canadian rapper took at him on diss track “Duppy Freestyle,” his mentor and Watch the Throne collaborator Jay-Z is still cool with the 6 God. Drizzy’s new album Scorpion, released in the early morning hours of June 29, features Jay on the track “Talk Up,” with the legendary Brooklyn MC pointing out the apparent hypocrisy in the murder of XXXTentacion and throwing a jab at President Trump, who West is a big fan of. “I got your president tweeting / I won’t even meet with him / Y’all killed X and let Zimmerman live / Streets is done,” raps Jay-Z, referencing Trayvon Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman. Jay produced the 6-part docuseries Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, which will premiere in July on the Paramount Network.
