Janice Min Hired at Hollywood Reporter

Janice Min, former editor-in-chief of Us Weekly, has taken a surprising new job: Editorial director of The Hollywood Reporter. Min, who left Us Weekly a year and a half ago, told The New York Times that she’s hoping to revive the publication by focusing on a “contextual discussion and analysis,” of Hollywood business with “some personalities featured in the coverage.” But, she insisted, “it’s certainly not going to be ‘Guess what Lindsay Lohan wore today.’” Meanwhile, Nikki Finke, of rival site Deadline Hollywood Daily, told The Huffington Post: “I am saddened to see Hollywood lose yet another source for business news, since this hire clearly shows that won’t be the focus of THR any longer.”
