Israeli Drone Kills Palestinian Militants

Egyptian officials said they had negotiated an end to the latest flare-up between Israeli and Palestinian militants, set to start at 6 a.m. Sunday, Reuters reported. An Israeli drone strike targeting an Islamic Jihad training site in Gaza on Saturday killed at least five Palestinian militants, and Gaza militants responded by firing a salvo of rockets into southern Israel, killing at least one Israeli man and wounding two others. The Israeli military said the group was preparing to fire long-range rockets into Israel, and that the same group was behind a rocket attack on Wednesday in southern Israel. A spokesman for Islamic Jihad said the strikes killed two leaders and warned Israel of a forceful response.
