NBC News will face heightened competition as Diane Sawyer succeeds Charlie Gibson in ABC's evening broadcast, and disgusted critics panned NBC Sports' coverage of the new Cowboys Stadium. The Wall Street Journal observed that the network's dominance "continues to wane." Finally, parent General Electric has hit hard times on Wall Street, leading MarketWatch to speculate that "the key question is when—not if anymore—[CEO] Immelt will sell NBC."
