Iran Missile Threat to ‘Wipe Out Israel’

Iran reportedly test-fired two additional long-range ballistic missiles early Wednesday, with each said to carry the Hebrew words for “Israel must be wiped out” on the rocket bodies. The latest alleged launch by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps came a despite U.S. warnings over its challenge to a United Nations resolution and during Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Jerusalem. “Long-range Qadr-H and Qadr-F precision missiles were fired today” about 870 miles away, the state-run Fars news agency quoted General Hossein Salami, deputy head of the Revolutionary Guards, as saying. The range of those missiles would put Israel within striking distance. Iran was reported to have test-fired several ballistic missiles Tuesday, as well. Washington imposed sanctions against businesses and individuals linked to Iran’s missile program two months ago after a test of a medium-range missile in October of last year. Israel’s foreign ministry declined to comment.
